Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust as part of the Jockey Club Multiple Pathways Initiative, CLAP-TECH Pathway is a tripartite collaboration among three parties – Hong Kong Baptist University, industry partners and secondary schools, connecting from school to work. The CLAP-TECH Pathway has been implemented in HK since 2020, offering students non-traditional educational routes to better prepare them for tomorrow’s workforce. The project aims at equipping students with valuable skills, competencies and work ethics so that they can take on the growing number of “new collar” roles – roles that can address the industry skills gap employers face in a fast-paced technological world.

On 6 July 2022, CLAP-TECH Pathway organized the virtual international symposium “CLAP-TECH and P-TECH: A Dialogue between the East and the West”. In this video, Breaking Barriers author Stanley S. Litow speaks to the symposium about his book the successes of P-TECH.
