Electronic Exam Copies for Course Adoption Consideration

An examination copy link can be found on each book’s detail page.

Professors considering a title for adoption can request an electronic exam copy at no charge. (Note: Many but not all TC Press books are available as an exam copy). Access to exam ebook files expire 60 days after the download link is issued.

Shipping & Handling

Shipping and handling is calculated at the time you place your order. We offer regular and expedited services from USPS and UPS.

Setting up an account

Customers can set up an account when they place an order, or by visiting the Shopping Cart and clicking the Account icon. Benefits of opening an account include easier order entry and tracking of past and current orders. Note: We do not store credit card information.

RETURNS

Individuals may return books within 30 days from date of invoice.

All returned books must be accompanied with an invoice or a complete packing slip indicating invoice number. The carton containing documents must be clearly marked. Incomplete information will result in credit being issued at a maximum 50% discount. Returns that do not meet these requirements will be returned to the shipper at their expense.
Multimedia Materials and Screening Tools: Must be returned within 21 days from date of invoice.
Damaged products will be replaced upon receipt of proof of damage.
Out-of-print or discontinued items cannot be refunded.
Ebooks cannot be refunded.

HOW DO I download my EBOOK?

Your order confirmation will contain a link to download your ebook. The same link will appear on an emailed receipt.

Using ADOBE DIGITAL EDITIONS TO Read a TC Press ebook on a PC, Mac, IPHONE, or iPad

To read TC Press ebooks on most devices, you will need the free Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) program. ADE can be downloaded from the Adobe website here.
During installation, you will be prompted to enter an Adobe ID and password. If you do not have an Adobe ID, you can create one here. When you have your ID and password ready, enter them into ADE to authorize your computer. If you do not see the authorization pop-up window, click on the "Help" menu and select "Authorize Computer."
Once ADE is installed and authorized, click the download link in the email you received from tcpress.com. This will download an Adobe Content Key (file type .acsm). Double-clicking on this file will open Adobe Digital Editions and automatically retrieve your ebook.
You can rename your ebook, but must retain the .acsm extension in order for ADE to recognize it.

Other options for reading ebooks purchased from our site include the Bluefire and Aldiko ereader apps, which can be authorized with your Adobe ID.

I received an email that does not include a download link.

Our software sends two emails: one confirming the order and the second containing download link/s. Please check your spam or quarantine folders (which may take up to 24 hours to update) if these do not arrive. Contact us with any problems.

I have questions / problems with the ADE app.

Occasional updates to Adobe software may require you to deauthorize and reauthorize your device. Get more information here and contact us if the error message persists.

I accidentally deleted my ebook. Can I download it again?

Adobe Digitial Editions saves a record of your downloaded ebooks, so you may be able to retrieve lost items there. If not, your original download link will work up to three times. Contact us with your order number and email address if you lose this link.

I'm not finding my answer. Now what?

Contact us with a detailed description of the problem you are having (including the device being used) and we will respond as soon as possible.

WHAT'S THE SMALL PRINT?

Ebooks are non-refundable.
Using your Adobe ID (provided free from Adobe), you can read purchased ebooks on up to six computers and/or compatible devices.
You can print up to 20 pages over the life of the book. This printing allowance does not include rights to copyrighted materials utilized by permission in the selection. You must apply to each rights holder separately for permission.
You can copy and paste up to 2 full pages of text.
If you live outside the United States, you can purchase ebooks from this site, but you must contact our international distributors to obtain print versions and exam copies.
