When I picked up Breaking Barriers, a new book about P-TECH schools, I didn’t have high expectations. As a former P-TECH principal, I was sure that I already knew just about everything there is to know about this kind of school-business-college partnership. And I was worried that the book would focus just on the model and fail to point out the importance of teachers and educational leaders in making the model work.

I am happy to report that I was wrong on both accounts. In my opinion, this book should be on the reading list of every school board, superintendent, principal and education service provider.
