Hunger, homelessness, and inconsistent living situations are growing problems for students in higher education institutions — from the two year public college to the four year private university. In the foreword for Addressing Homelessness and Housing Insecurity in Higher Education, California State University Chancellor Timothy P. White writes “”Housing insecurity, homelessness, and food insecurity affect students at conceivably every college and university throughout the United States. We know from research that California’s institutions of higher education are no exception.”
