Garrett J. Roberts, MS, BCBA, is a project coordinator and doctoral student at The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk at The University of Texas at Austin. Currently, he coordinates large-scale research projects on reading comprehension and self-regulation, as well as working with teachers and paraprofessionals to develop behavioral and academic interventions for high school students with autism. He has taught special education in Grades K–6 in Hawaii and Oregon, as well as teaching in the Peace Corps in Mozambique, Africa, before moving into higher education. Currently his research interests include academic, reading, and behavioral interventions, as well as effective instructional practices to support all learners.
