Virginia Stern

Virginia Stern was a longtime associate in the Research Division of Bank Street College before her death. Although she was engaged in varied research projects there, of particular interest was her involvement in a study of 2-year-olds and her special attention to dramatic play. Receiving an undergraduate degree in psychology and economics from Antioch College, she earned her graduate degree from Bank Street. In addition to lecturing and writing on early childhood, she was a successful sculptor and a teacher of classical piano.
