Vanessa Siddle Walker is an educational historian and professor in the Division of Educational Studies at Emory University. Her research explores the segregated schooling of black children in the South, including school climates and black teacher advocacy. She has received numerous awards, including the AERA Early Career Award and the prestigious Grawemeyer Prize for Education for Their Highest Potential.
