Touorizou Herve Somé is an associate professor at Ripon College. As a Fulbright Scholar, he earned his PhD in 2007 in the Social Foundations program at the University of Buffalo. He has published many articles and peer-reviewed book chapters relating to education reform in the United States and higher education finance in Africa. His research interests include globalization, neoliberalism, multiculturalism, and higher education finance in Africa. He is a public scholar who actively took part in the people’s movement for democracy in Burkina Faso, leading to the ousting of President Compaoré.
