Dr. Susan Tancock is a professor in the Department of Elementary Education at Ball State University where she teaches undergraduate and graduate reading methods courses. Her current research interest is determining how preservice teachers develop the skills and dispositions to provide culturally relevant instruction. Susan is committed to providing experiences for undergraduate students to plan and implement literacy instruction that meets the needs of diverse populations of children in low-income schools and communities. Susan has been involved in the Schools Within the Context of Community program for the past 4 years.
