Sonia Yoshizawa, MAE, is a doctoral fellow in the early childhood education program at East Tennessee State University. She formerly served as a research associate at the University of Northern Iowa. During the Ramps and Pathways project, she helped create interview protocols with Rheta DeVries and conducted pre- and posttest interviews for pre-K to 2nd-grade children in Iowa, Idaho, Alabama, and Texas. She has served as a STEM teacher trainer, instructor, director at the U.S. Embassy pre-K school, and pre-K and kindergarten teacher in Japan. She is the co-author of a book (in-press) on topics related to young children’s creativity. She has presented nationally and internationally at major national conferences.
