Shelly L. Counsell

Shelly Lynn Counsell, EdD, is an associate professor of early childhood education at the University of Memphis and teaches the Planning and Facilitating Math and Science course. She was the southeast Idaho R&P site facilitator and a research fellow at the UNI Regents’ Center. She has presented R&P and other early science workshops locally, nationally, and internationally. She coauthored an R&P chapter in NSTA’s Exemplary Science PD text and has published articles in Science & Children, Young Children, Schools: Studies in Education, Journal of Disability Policy Studies, and EPAA. National presentations include National Science Teachers Association, National Association for the Education of Young Children, Association for Childhood Education International, Association for Constructivist Teaching, and American Education Research Association.
