Rosemary Geiken, EdD, is an associate professor of early childhood at East Tennessee State University. She has been in education for over 30 years, serving as a classroom teacher, early childhood consultant, center director, and university faculty. She was a research associate with the Regents’ Center during the development of R&P. As a member of the R&P team she visited teachers who were implementing R&P, provided workshops on R&P, and facilitated meetings of the national field site leaders. She has presented nationally and internationally on physical science and young children. Her current research focuses on toddlers and problem solving.
