Pamela Konkol is an associate professor of educational foundations and social policy and director of the Center for Policy Studies and Social Justice at Concordia University Chicago. She holds a PhD in Policy Studies in Urban Education and an MEd in Curriculum Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a BS in Cultural Studies and Women’s Studies from Northwestern University. Prior to working as a researcher and teacher educator, she taught high school students on Chicago’s south side and ran an independent record label. When she’s not fighting the good fight for kids, communities, and educators, she’s active in English bull terrier rescue.
