Miriam Ben-Peretz is professor emerita at the faculty of education at the University of Haifa. She is past chair of the department of teacher education and former head of the School of Education at the University of Haifa. She is the founder and head of the Center for Jewish Education in Israel and the Diaspora. Her main research interests are curriculum, teacher education and professional development, policy-making, and Jewish education. Her publications include Learning from Experience: Memory and the Teacher’s Account of Teaching (SUNY Press, 1995) and Policy-Making in Education: A Holistic Approach in Response to Global Changes (Rowman & Littlefield, 2009).
