Lynda Tredway is the program coordinator for East Carolina University (ECU) International EdD and was the project coordinator for USDOE-funded Project I4 at the Institute for Educational Leadership, a partner of ECU, to design and implement microcredentials for school leaders. Previously, she was the founding director of the Principal Leadership Institute at University of California, Berkeley (2000–2012); she coordinated a teacher residency program at George Washington University and was a public school teacher and coordinator in District of Columbia public schools. She co-authored a book on teacher leadership, Leading from the Inside Out: Expanded Roles for Teachers in Equitable Schools. Recent publications include practice-based articles in Educational Leadership and research articles in peer-reviewed journals on the international doctorate and Project I4 results, all of which are co-authored with Matt Militello and Project I4 team members. Lynda is a mother and grandmother living in Washington, D.C. She is working on a multi-quilt project entitled “The Lynching Trees: Leaves of Redemption.”
