Lisa (Leigh) Patel

Lisa (Leigh) Patel is an associate professor of race, language, and education. Prior to working as a university educator, she was a secondary teacher, journalist, and policymaker. Throughout her career, she has worked with societally marginalized young people and activists, using participatory methods to both investigate and agitate differences in power and status.
