Liliana M. Garces is an assistant professor of higher education in the Department of Education Policy Studies, codirector of the Center for Education and Civil Rights, and research associate in the Center for the Study of Higher Education at The Pennsylvania State University. Her research, focused on the dynamics of law and education, examines access policies for underrepresented populations in higher education and the use and influence of research in court cases. Her last coedited book is entitled Affirmative Action and Racial Equity: Considering the Evidence in Fisher to Forge the Path Ahead (Routledge Press).
