Joy Ann Williamson-Lott

Joy Ann Williamson-Lott is professor of the history of American education at the University of Washington’s College of Education in Seattle. Her previous books include Black Power on Campus: The University of Illinois, 1965–1975 (University of Illinois Press) and Radicalizing the Ebony Tower: Black Colleges and the Black Freedom Struggle in Mississippi (Teachers College Press). She teaches courses on education as a moral endeavor and education for liberation.
