Joseph J. Caruso is a lecturer for International Education Programs, Inc., where he teaches courses in supervision to educators, government employees, missionaries, and volunteers who work in schools and other educational settings throughout the world. He lives in Boston and Wellfleet, MA. He is a landscape painter and printmaker, as well as a gardener, and does volunteer work for the Massachusetts Horticultural Society and the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. He received his B.S. degree from Boston University and his M.A. and Ed.D. degrees from Columbia University, and has published articles in many professional journals.
