Jean (aka Regina) Ward helps authors to shape their prospective books to best meet professional and market needs. She contracts new books for the Press in literacy, leadership, math and science, social studies, technology, social justice, EL, and multicultural education. Jean has been an acquisitions editor in professional publishing for educators for 17 years. Prior to that Jean worked in journalism, public relations and marketing, and then taught 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-grade science, social studies, and reading in Chicago Public Schools and reasoning skills at DePaul University School for New Learning.
