Dr. James Fredricksen is associate professor of English education and codirector of the Boise State Writing Project at Boise State University. His coauthored books include So, What’s the Story? Teaching Narrative to Understand Ourselves, Others, and the World; Oh, Yeah?! Putting Argument to Work Both in School and Out; and Get it Done! Writing and Analyzing Informational Texts to Make Things Happen. His interest in teacher–writers grows from his experience as a middle school teacher-writer and from his research focusing on how we learn to teach writers and writing.
