Hannah A. Franz is a PhD student in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership at the College of William & Mary. She is a graduate assistant for the William & Mary Scholars Undergraduate Research Experience (WMSURE) and teaches in the Africana Studies program. Her research addresses equity in the transition from K–12 to college research and writing. From 2010– 2013, she taught middle school reading in Norfolk (VA) Public Schools. Hannah earned an MSEd in Reading/Writing/Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010, an MA in Sociolinguistics from North Carolina State University in 2009, and a BA in Linguistics from the College of William & Mary in 2007.
