Greg Dimitriadis is Assistant Professor of Sociology of Education in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. His work on popular culture, education, and the lives of urban youth has appeared in numerous books and journals. He is the author of Performing Identity/Performing Culture: Hip Hop as Text, Pedagogy, and Lived Practice.
