Gary R. Howard

Gary R. Howard

Since his immersion as a young man in the civil rights revolution of the 1960s, Gary R. Howard has been working with colleagues throughout many parts of the world to bring a healing vision to schools, universities, and other organizations. He continues to travel, delivering keynote addresses and leading his intensive Deep Equity Leadership Institutes, which provide school districts with the internal capacity to deliver high quality professional development for racial equity, culturally responsive teaching, and systemic change. Gary lives in Seattle, where he writes and enjoys the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Lotus, and their children and grandchildren.
