Estelle Woodbury is a learner exploring what it takes for every student to have powerful experiences in school mathematics. She currently works for the Oakland Unified School District as a part of the Leadership, Curriculum, and Instruction mathematics team, which allows her the opportunity to do focused work in mathematics learning and teaching with principals, teachers, and students. As part of the Railside team, she realized the importance of creating a classroom community in which the learning was as strong as the contributions of its members and how powerful the experience was in their development and decision making as citizens in the world.
