Erica Frankenberg

Erica Frankenberg is an associate professor in the Department of Education Policy Studies and codirector of the Center for Education and Civil Rights at The Pennsylvania State University. Current research projects include studying suburban racial change, the policy and politics of responses to the Supreme Court’s decision about voluntary integration, and the ways that school-choice policies affect racial stratification. She has coauthored or coedited several books on these issues, including most recently Educational Delusions? Why Choice Can Deepen Inequality and How to Make it Fair (University of California Press).
