Elizabeth Jones is faculty emerita in Human Development at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California, where she has also taught in the preschool and primary children’s programs. She earned an M.A. in Child Development at the University of Wisconsin and a Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Southern California. She has been a visiting lecturer at the University of Alaska and was DeLissa Fellow at the South Australian College of Advanced Education, Adelaide, South Australia. She has consulted and presented at conferences around the world, as well as in Pasadena. Her books, published by Teachers College Press and by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), include Master Players (with Gretchen Reynolds), Playing to Get Smart (with Renatta Cooper), Emergent Curriculum (with John Nimmo), The Lively Kindergarten (with Kathleen Evans and Kay Rencken), Teaching Adults, and Teaching Adults Revisited.
