Elizabeth C. McDonald is a master teacher in the Department of Teaching and Learning in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University. She co-leads NYU’s introductory course in teacher education, of which multiple sections each semester are co-taught in New York City schools by NYC teachers. She has been an elementary and middle school teacher of students with special needs, a professional development specialist for the Rhode Island State Department of Education, and for 9 years an elementary school principal. She is a coauthor of Going Online with Protocols. She lives in New York City and Wareham, Massachusetts, with Joe McDonald and their West Highland Terrier, Harry.
