Django Paris is Associate Professor of Language and Literacy in the College of Education at Michigan State University. He is also Core Faculty in the African American and African Studies Program. His research and teaching focus on understanding and sustaining languages, literacies, and lifeways among youth of color in the context of demographic and social change. In January 2018, Paris will join the faculty in the College of Education at the University of Washington, Seattle as Director of the Banks Center for Educational Justice.
