Daniel Siebert is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics Education at Brigham Young University. His area of research is literacy and discourse in mathematics teaching and learning. His research has appeared in numerous publications in this field, including Teaching Children Mathematics, the Journal of Mathematical Behavior, Literacy Research and Instruction, and the American Educational Research Journal. He is an active member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and a past associate editor of the Journal for Research in Mathematics Education.
