Christine Dawson is a Lecturer in Education at Siena College (New York), where she teaches literacy, curriculum, and methods courses. She earned her doctorate in Curriculum, Instruction, and Teacher Education from Michigan State University, where she was awarded a University Distinguished Fellowship. She is a postdoctoral visiting research associate at the University at Albany, State University of New York. She earned her MA (Curriculum and Teaching) from Columbia University Teachers College and her BA from the University of Virginia. Her research focuses on writing pedagogy, English teacher preparation, and curriculum design. She presents regularly at national conferences and has published in English Journal and Research in the Teaching of English.
