Catherine Twomey Fosnot is professor of education at the City College of New York and director of Mathematics in the City, a national center of in-service in New York City. She is the past president of the Association for Constructivist Teaching and she has twice received the “significant contribution” award from AERA’s Constructivist SIG, as well as the “young scholar” award from the Educational Communication and Technology Journal for her writing on constructivism and educational technology. She is the author of several books and articles on constructivism, among them Enquiring Teachers, Enquiring Learners, also published by Teachers College Press.
