Brady E. Donaldson

Brady E. Donaldson is currently a literacy coach for the Salt Lake City School District. He earned his master’s degree and Ph.D. at Utah State University. Brady’s career includes over 20 years teaching at both the primary- and intermediate-grade levels in Title I and non–Title I schools. He has extensive experience working directly with students, classroom teachers, and literacy coaches. After leaving the classroom, he focused his efforts on coordinating and developing professional development for classroom teachers in the areas of reading and writing instruction. He worked as the district director of Reading First in a local Utah district from 2006–2009. His work in Reading First required him to oversee the work of several literacy coaches as well as the budget and overall coordination of Reading First in the district. In addition, he regularly teaches graduate courses in reading and literacy for the Utah reading endorsement at local universities. His current interests and areas of expertise include foundational skills in reading as well as comprehension development and instruction.
