Barbara B. Levin is a professor in the Department of Teacher Education and Higher Education and Director of the Teachers Academy at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was an elementary school teacher for 17 years before earning her PhD at the University of California, Berkeley. Previously Dr. Levin was assistant department chair and director of graduate studies for 8 years. She also served as an associate editor for Teacher Education Quarterly for 8 years. Dr. Levin was awarded the first Mentoring-Advising-Supervising (MAS) Award in the School of Education at UNCG in 2008. Dr. Levin’s research focuses on understanding how teachers’ beliefs and pedagogical understandings develop across their careers, case-based and problem-based learning, and leading, teaching, and learning with technology. Dr. Levin has published six books and numerous articles in well-respected journals.
