Amy Bacevich is clinical faculty lecturer at Northern Kentucky University. She supervises student teachers and teaches courses in the undergraduate elementary teacher education program. Her work addresses redesigning teacher education curriculum to focus on the study and practice of teaching. She works on developing and using methods, including video study, written cases, and field-based coaching, that support novices’ development as teachers. She has presented at conferences and at teacher education programs on clinical practice design issues, including the use of alternative settings, field-based instructional activities for teacher education, and the use of video technology to support novice teacher learning. Dr. Bacevich is a former elementary school teacher.
