I am so sad to hear this news. I was fortunate to have been trained by Thelma and the other authors on the ITERS in the early 2000s. I still remember and cherish this experience. Thelma was such a spitfire with a great sense of humor. She was so down to earth and easy to talk to. I picked her brain and learned so much from her. Now, I am using the ITERS in my class as a professor at a community college. Thelma was a true pioneer in the field of early childhood education. Her work and contributions to the field will live on and continue to improve quality for young children and transform our field one program at a time.
